“Celosias” commonly called cockscomb, feathered amaranth, woolflower and red fox, are warm-weather flowering plants that thrive in hot, humid Mediterranean areas. They are commonly grown as annuals but can survive winters Cockscomb is an annual herb and is very common as a garden plant. The tightly clustered blooms are said to resemble a rooster comb. Flower included red, yellow, orange, gold, and pink.

The celosias or cockscombs are erect, branching plants with oval or lance-shaped, brightly colored flowerheads which usually stand above the foliage.
